Emergency Evacuation & Relief Surge

A large-scale Flood Relief Fund was launched after the Ravi River surged to unprecedented levels, affecting over 70,000 people in dozens of villages. Relief camps and medical centers were rapidly established, with more than 260 rescue units working around the clock alongside the army, Rescue 1122, and civil defence. Thousands were evacuated by boat and relocated to safe shelters, and essential supplies like food, clean water, and medicine were distributed across flood-hit communities. State leadership, including the Chief Minister, personally inspected affected areas and pledged long-term infrastructure improvements to reduce future flood risk.

Rapid Relief Operations

Social Welfare offices quickly assessed flood damage, located victims, and provided emergency aid day and night. They coordinated with local volunteers to speed up rescue efforts and medical response. Mobile camps were deployed to reach remote villages cut off by heavy flooding. Essential supplies like food, clean water, and medicine were delivered within hours.

15 July, 2023 – Punjab, Pakistan
Community-Level Emergency Support

Teams were mobilized immediately to survey critical areas and ensure people were safely evacuated. Relief units worked with district authorities to identify high-risk zones and guide families toward temporary shelters. Medical vans operated continuously to treat injured individuals and prevent disease outbreaks. Basic necessities including dry rations, hygiene kits, and blankets were distributed across affected communities.

20 August, 2022 – Punjab, Pakistan
Large-Scale Humanitarian Assistance

On-ground teams monitored rising water levels and helped relocate vulnerable households before major damage occurred. Collaboration with rescue departments strengthened operations, making evacuations smoother and faster. Temporary relief stations were established to support women, children, and the elderly. Fresh meals, water supplies, and emergency medicines were dispatched through coordinated supply routes.
